Friday can end with an unfinished list and a vague intention to remember where you left off. Give Monday a more useful starting point while the context is still fresh.
Capture the open loop
Choose one piece of work likely to be difficult to restart. Write where it stands, what you already reviewed, and the next action. Store any client information only in approved clinical systems.
Name the dependency
If someone else needs to provide information or make a decision, record who owns it and when you will check back. “Waiting” is a work state, not a reminder to keep checking all weekend.
Choose Monday’s entry point
Identify a concrete first action: open the current draft, compare two records, or prepare a question for the team. Leave the full solution for the time set aside to work on it.
This small shutdown cannot make an overloaded role sustainable by itself. It can preserve context so you do not have to recreate it.
Use the Weekly Reset when you are ready to place that next action inside the rest of the week.
